Pete Vukusic

Professor Pete Vukusic is Professor of BioPhotonics and is the Associate Dean for Education in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter.  He leads a large research group that studies optical and photonic biological systems and the way in which natural nano-architectures can be used to drive innovative developments in technology.  He is a qualified physics and maths teacher and previously taught in secondary schools in the UK, Ireland and Africa.

He has championed international science outreach for two decades and was recently the Institute of Physics UK Schools’ Lecturer.
