Dr Tim Paulden

Vice Chair of Governors

Tim is the Innovation & Development Manager at ATASS Sports in Exeter, a role spanning numerous areas including technical training, coding innovation, designing statistical workshops (for PhD students and other audiences), and managing the company’s internship programmes. He holds a Mathematics doctorate from Exeter University (2008), having previously gained a Masters in Mathematics and a PGCE in Secondary and Sixth-Form Mathematics from St John’s College, Cambridge.

As a STEM ambassador, Tim has delivered numerous in-school activities including Royal Institution masterclasses on probability, problem-solving workshops for the EMS Mathematics Student Community, and careers talks for INSPIRE. He has also delivered R training to teachers via the local KS4/KS5 Mathematics Teachers’ Network. Tim co-organises the Exeter R Users Group, and is closely involved in the Royal Statistical Society, where he is Chair of the Young Statisticians Section (Jan 2015 – Dec 2016).
