Professor Trevor Bailey


Professor Trevor Bailey is a Professor of Applied/Computational Statistics.  Trevor  joined the University of Exeter in the late 1980’s from the University of New South Wales, Australia.  His research interests are in spatial statistics, applied statistical modelling, and spatial epidemiology.  Much of his research has been collaborative involving academics and professionals from a variety of different fields including health care, geography, computer science, behavioural science, commercial organisations and government agencies.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and of the Higher Education Academy, and is a Chartered Statistician.

Trevor has held a range of senior leadership/management roles relating to Education during his time at the University of Exeter.  In particular, he was Associate Dean (Education) for the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences for several years prior to stepping down from this position in December 2014.
